Once upon a time...

MISSION AND HISTORY

Music Saves The World was founded by Will Simpson in 2015 as a community music project to help those suffering from addiction and poverty. Since then, MSTW has grown organically as a loose organization aimed at building positive relationships between music practitioners and performers, young people, artists, local arts council programs and the communities that support them.

The main goal of MSTW is to empower local communities to establish their own music workshops and open music scene. Through engaging participation and collective organising, MSTW aims to plan, facilitate and implement sustainable programs that will improve community relations, increase the impact of established arts programs and inspire confidence and creativity for young people in the area.

Our daily work revolves around building community music programs such as working within groups to develop music skills such as song writing, performance and collaboration techniques.

Many artists, performers and talented people have been part of the inspiration for Music Saves The World, and the nature of the project itself is constantly evolving, as each session, event and collaboration fosters learning and growth.
